English Teacher at Colegio Intelecto School

Colegio Intelecto, an educational institution committed to academic excellence and cultural diversity, is seeking graduated English teachers to join our team . Intelecto was founded in August 2011 with the philosophy of Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences, aiming to develop all intelligences in its students through Project-Based Learning methodology.

To foster critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication in our students through projects that seek solutions to real issues in our society.

Description:

Responsibilities:

● Teach English classes to students:

○ Primary (Elementary – 1st to 6th grade) or

○ Secondary (Middle and Highschool – 7th to 12th grade)

● Plan and prepare lessons and study topics.

● Review the curriculum and develop approaches that enhance students’ understanding.

● Support students through alternative strategies.

● Ensure personal and social development of students.

● Develop, implement, and grade exams and other assessment methods, such as presentations, assignments, as well as assigning and reviewing homework.

● Maintain a detailed record of each student’s individual progression.

● Keep the classroom clean and organized.

● Classroom discipline management.

● Attend faculty meetings and parent-teacher meetings.

Requirements:

● University degree in Education or related field.

● Passion for teaching and student development.

● Effective communication skills in English.

● Living stipend of $45,000.00 dominican pesos per month. ● Departure tax for extended stay visa included.
